- 5 / 5By Hunter HamptonNew Yorkers tell me the bagels here are as good as they are in the City, and I'm inclined to believe them. They're exceptionally good. It's really just the food though, and the coffee, which holds its own against Charlottesville's many independent coffee shops. The restaurant itself is plain and pretty sparse, with the exception of the murals on all the walls, decorated, confusingly, with what appears to be a socialist realism theme. Instead of chowing down inside, take your bagels and coffee across the street to the Lawn, and enjoy your breakfast on the steps of Thomas Jefferson's Rotunda.November 01, 2016
