  WOW, I really can't decide whether the service or the food was better! Hassan and his team create the most delicious dishes... my mouth is watering just thinking about the amazing meal we enjoyed a few nights ago. The team makes you feel like you're over to their home for a Sunday dinner; they are so personable and attentive. They are extremely well versed in describing all the different sauces and spices in each item on the menu. The wines are wonderful, too. First class service and amazing cuisine. You will enjoy it, and it's a terrific value.

  Let me start by saying, the food was fantastic. But... it in my opinion the restaurant has decided to maximize revenue at the cost of a relaxing dinner experience. We spent over $100., had only a glass of wine, a beer, an appetizer, and two entrees. The entrees lacked a vegetable and a salad, both available for an additional cost. The hummus appetizer was tasty, but a pathetic amount of hummus slapped on a small plate and garnished with 4 cucumber slices. There was also one small pita divided 4 ways.
  
  The instant we finished anything, the plates, bottles or glasses were snatched away, and we soon realized that our every move was being watched. The tables were so close to each other that my wife could follow the conversation at one table while I followed the conversation at another. Furthermore, when the waitress slid between the tables to take orders, etc. her hind-side was nearly touching our table. The wait staff and owner were quite friendly, but our planned 2 hour $100+ meal was over in under an hour, leaving us with an hour to waste before we headed to the event at the arena. Overall, the taste of the food was excellent, but our experience left us with a a very bad feeling, as I'd place the personal value of this meal the less than $50. BTW, I've eaten at 1000s of different establishments in over 20 countries and this is the first my first review of any of them.

  Way overpriced, no itemized bill, hidden charges, penalty for bringing children are some of the things that make me want to skip. Alas, there are no truly good Arab-Mediterranean restaurants in cville!
