  Albemarle Baking Company is a great bakery. We've routinely been buying bread and pastries from ABC since we moved to Charlottesville this past summer.
  
  Their bread has completely replaced our grocery store loaf purchases (Pepperidge Farm, Arnold, etc). They'll slice it for you behind the counter when you buy it. It easily keeps for a week (assuming you don't eat it before then). It's slightly more expensive than the bulk produced variety but way better.
  
  Their pastries are also delicious. I've probably tried a third of what they have to offer at this point. Their Morning Buns are by far my favorite (and they have a brioche stick with custard and chocolate chips that they only make on Saturday which is also a favorite).
  
  If you come in at the end of the day (I think after 5) all of their goodies are heavily discounted.

  Nice, clean, bakery. Friendly saleswoman never got upher name though. The pecan sticky buns were great. If you come close to closing time then you get a discount on the pastries. They're a little old but the taste is not bad when you heat it up in the microwave. Good deal. French Macaroons were a little bit too doughy, but the taste wasn't unsatisfactory. I got the chocolate,raspberry, and vanilla. You'll be better off buying them separate instead of the box because it's quite pricey.
